Friends of Duane Park hosts events to create community spirit in the neighborhood. Some of our events help generate funds that fuel our work in the park and garden.
Thursday, June 9, 6:30 – 8pm. Friends of Duane Park kick off this summer music series season with Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School’s Jazz Band Trio, “Milei’s Choice” along with Brooklyn Friends.

Thursday, July 7th, 6:30 – 8pm. Nxtime, a NYC based band, comprised of Ray Rubio, Nate Christensen, & Imhotep Williams. Friends of Duane Park are excited to host Nxtime again in our summer series. Check out www.nxtimemusic.com for their new video.
Saturday, May 14th, 10am – 12noon. Help your child plant a flower or herb while listening to music performed by guitarist, Wilson Montuori, as you celebrate spring with neighbors and friends in historic Duane Park.
Saturday, April 23th, 10am – 2pm. In honor of Earth Day clear out your papers. Drop them into our mobile shredder in Duane Park for free. And presto, your spring cleaning is done!
Wednesday, February 2nd, 4 – 6pm. Celebrate Groundhog Day in Duane Park with ice sculpting, bubbles, refreshments, by Duane Park Patisserie, in the form of cookies and hot chocolate, and Tribeca Wine Merchants will offer something festive for adults. Whether the prediction is for an extended winter or an early spring, we will have a celebration of both.
Thursday, December 16th, 6pm – 7pm. Join us for some holiday cheer in Duane Park with the Stuyvesant High School Choir. Friends of Duane Park will provide some festive beverages and holiday treats to celebrate the spirit of the season.
